The Hibou
On November 21, 1936 at 4:50pm, the Hibou sank in Georgian Bay just outside of Owen Sound harbour. A small collection of poems marking this occasion, recollections, memory, time and water can be found here.
poetry is as much about the reader as the writer. a repsonse, of any & all variety, is the desired effect. recognition, confession, tumble, double take, memory, assent. if you think a poem is about you, it probably is.
